The Security tab displays and allows changes to the Security Settings for the Active Directory (AD) Groups and Users that run the services.
The top panel displays Group or user names.
The following table runs through the group and user name functions:
Button | Function |
Add | Opens the Select Users or Groups dialog to add a new user or group to the list used by FireDaemon Pro. For more information, visit Selecting Users and Groups from Active Directory. |
Remove | Removes a user or group from the list. The user will immediately be removed with no confirmation dialog. |
The bottom panel controls the permissions granted to each of the selected users and groups. Whichever user/group is selected in the top panel will appear in the bottom panel for viewing/editing. To view a common example of needing to modify a user’s permissions, visit Local File System Permissions Required to Run FireDaemon Pro Services.
Check the boxes to Allow or Deny particular actions for each user for more granular security control. Click Advanced to open the Advanced Security Settings window in Windows. For more information, visit Access Control Overview.
