Restores keyboard and mouse functionality on Session 0

Starting with the release of Windows 10 and Windows Server 2016, all keyboard and mouse input is now blocked on the Session 0 desktop. Hence, if you have interactive Windows services running in Session 0, keyboard and mouse input will not work and it will not be possible to interact with the service. Further, With the release of Windows 10 version 1803 and Windows Server 2019, Microsoft has removed the Interactive Services Detection service.

FireDaemon ZeroInput is a free kernel-mode driver that restores keyboard and mouse functionality on Windows 10, Server 2016, Server 2019, and Server 2022. ZeroInput also removes the “blacked out” Session 0 desktop on Windows 10 1803 or later.

If FireDaemon Zero is also installed on the system, then FireDaemon Zero will detect that the ZeroInput driver is present and provide the ability for you to remain on Session 0 indefinitely (i.e. you will no longer be kicked out of Session 0 after 30 seconds).

For detailed information regarding installing and using FireDaemon ZeroInput, please see the FireDaemon ZeroInput release notes.
