Since the release of Windows Vista and Windows 2008, interactive Microsoft Windows services (i.e., those with a console or GUI component) have been forced to run in Session 0. Historically, the only way to interact with interactive services on Session 0 was to switch desktop via the built-in Interactive Services Detection Service (UI0Detect). In recent versions of Microsoft Windows, UI0Detect has been removed entirely, making it impossible to access Session 0 .

FireDaemon Zero is a drop-in replacement for UI0Detect. It runs in the Windows Task Tray and allows you to easily switch between your logged-in Windows desktop session and Session 0. FireDaemon Zero works in conjunction with FireDaemon ZeroInput. Below is a screenshot of FireDaemon Zero in action!
