The Log On tab determines under which user account the service will run and under which hardware profiles it is enabled.
Note: Windows Interactive Services can only be run under the LocalSystem account.
The following table describes the fields.
Field | Description |
---|---|
Log On As | Sets the account used for logging on to the service. There are two options:
If the radio button for Local System account is selected, the Windows service will log on using the LocalSystem account. If the service requires interaction with desktop, check the Allow service to interact with desktop checkbox.
If the This account radio button is selected, the Windows service will log on using the account entered in this field. Either enter the account name manually or select it via the Select User dialog by clicking on the ellipsis button on the right side of the field. These buttons only enable if the service is not already running. |
Password | The password for the selected logon account. The password fields only enable if This account is selected. |
Confirm password | Re-enter the logon account password to confirm its value. |
Hardware Profiles | The list of hardware profiles for which this service is enabled or disabled. |
