The General tab defines the major settings for a built-in Windows service.
The following table explains the information displayed on the General tab.

| Service Name | The name of the Windows service. |
| Display Name | The display name of the Windows service. |
| Description | The extended description of the Windows service. |
| Command Line | The full path and name of the executable program to be run as the Windows service, together with any run-time parameters. |
| Startup Mode | The startup mode of the Windows service. The following options are available:
